The Top 3 Ways to Celebrate the Fourth of July with Toddlers

Fireworks aren’t the only way to celebrate Independence Day with kids. In fact, there are numerous things you can do to make the day an incredible learning experience for your toddlers. Here are three ways to help you get started.

Bake a Red, White, and Blue Cake

Desserts are delicious. However, they become a lot more interesting to look at and eat for kids when they make it themselves. Children love to participate in activities other than running and playing with toys. Baking a unique cake with your toddlers is the perfect way to celebrate this big day.

The best part about this activity is that it’s not as challenging and complex as it sounds. In fact, you don’t necessarily have to make a cake from scratch. You can always buy a cake from outside and let your kids decorate it with some delicious red, white, and blue icing.

Decorate Your House with the US Flag Cut-Outs

Another excellent way to enjoy the Fourth of July with your kids with something other than fireworks is by decorating the house with the American flag. This can be an excellent activity if your kids are into arts and crafts.

You can provide them with a template of the flag and let them color it with the right colors before cutting them into small flags. Let your children experience the true Independence Day spirit by hanging these flags all around the house.

Enjoy Face Painting with Friends

Kids enjoy nothing more than a face painting day with their friends. Therefore, if you’re looking for a way to keep your kids engaged on the Independence Day cookout, make sure you set up a face painting stand in your yard.

The kids are highly likely to enjoy having the American flag painted on their faces and taking pictures in them.
