Master Mind
Founded by April Ryans, a resident of the Harford County, Maryland area, Master Mind Daycare aims to instill knowledge and values through curriculum that is based on 40 years of teaching experience. Our program is created to bring the inner mastermind out of your child.
Master Mind Daycare is an initiative to help bring out the hidden potential and talent of your little ones. We aim to groom their skills and help them hone their abilities while also providing them with a curriculum relevant to their future learning.
Children should be pushed for excellence from a young age at their own pace to help them nurture their intuition and take their imaginations to the next level with their creations and curiosities.
Mission, Vision & Values
We aim to instill a plethora of positive, influential habits and activities for children suited for their age to help them develop their brilliant minds. In addition to Math, Reading and Writing Literacy Skills, we teach Mindfulness, Yoga, Meditation, Dramatic Play, Gardening and Public Speaking to give them a head start on their journey.
Mission
Our mission here at Master Mind is to empower the minds of young children so that they can grow and develop positively while exploring the world around them. This exploration is encouraged through the lessons taught in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.). S.T.E.A.M. Curriculum is geared towards each particular age group allowing your child to learn at their own pace. The young minds of children are like sponges, and they are easily able to absorb this information which ultimately prepares them for a well-rounded future.
Vision
Our vision is for your child to further develop their Brilliant Mind. Early childhood development will enable us to become your trusted leader in the childcare industry. Children are creative human beings, and we encourage this creativity in a fun learning environment. Through education and interaction with other students, your child will become an acute learner who is ready to embrace the world one step at a time.
Values
We encourage the growth of every child that enters Master Mind. We instill our ethics and integrity in our staff as well as in our children. Children learn positive socialization skills as well as how to effectively and efficiently solve problems. These enrichment skills are learning tools that instill character in our little ones and can be used inside and outside the classroom.
Positive
Culture
A creative environment where children are treated as individuals with their own learning capabilities, brought up at their own speed with a focus on their unique skill set.
Learn and have
Fun Together
Children learn best in a creative, collaborative setting, where they are able to interact with their peers in an effort to bring their individual skills to the table while learning from one another.
Programs
Our Daycare program includes many different learning and play based activities which prepare your little one for Kindergarten and beyond. We also offer an engaging activity-focused summer camp program
.
Child
Development
Our goal is to teach children to think differently, enjoy learning and open their minds to become more intuitive about their surroundings, helping to engage their curiosities.
Master Mind
History
Master Mind was founded by April Ryans in order to enrich the lives of young children in the Harford County, Maryland area. April’s mother is a retired kindergarten teacher of 40 years. April spent quite a deal of time with her mom inside and outside of the classroom interacting with students, attending school plays, and cutting and constructing projects at home for the school week. She always admired her mom’s dedication and passion for her students.
April shares that same passion in lighting the path to your child’s education. April’s ambition was to create a Daycare program where children can grow, develop and learn at a very young age to prepare for the future in a positive way.
April received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. She then got her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is currently pursuing a 2nd Masters in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from Capella University. Before founding Master Mind, April worked as a Project Manager for 15 years.
Although she enjoyed the work and was skilled at her job, she longed to be a part of something meaningful and fulfilling. She wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and know deep down inside that she was positively impacting them. She knew that she was being called to do something more with her life. Through Master Mind, April can live out her lifelong dream of providing an enriching and educational environment that will positively impact students encouraging them to live up to their optimal potential.
